Dr. Chuck Beatty, Optometrist
Dr. Chuck Beatty earned his Doctorate in Optometry at Nova Southeastern University in 1999. In 2004, he became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a distinction held by fewer than 10% of optometrists. Our doctor served as a Medical Officer in the United States Air Force for 12 years, feeling a strong patriotic duty to serve after the events of 11 September, 2001. He was able to obtain training few optometrists have from field trauma & triage to aerospace medicine.
His specialty training includes refractive surgery such as LASIK / PRK, ocular diseases with and without systemic manifestations, ocular nutrition and eye surface disorders such as dry eye (K. Sicca). Dr. Beatty knows the challenges faced by our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coastguard either on our home turf or in a deployed environment. He also understands the battle of everyday life for folks who don’t wear the uniform.
Dr. Beatty now resides in Boulder, Colorado, where the mountains and warm-spirited people inspire him daily. Dr. Beatty provides personal, high-caliber ophthalmic services to the Boulder community. His welcoming disposition is sure to leave a positive impression.
